The Olympic Village of the Mountain Cluster is ideally located close to the main Olympic venues such as Biathlon and Ski Complexes, Bobsleigh Track, Ski Center, Ski Jump Complex, as well as Snowboard Park and Freestyle Center.
Laura Cross Country Ski & Biathlon Centre
The Laura Cross Country Ski & Biathlon Centre is a purpose built facility for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Tested for the first time by international competitors in 2013, “Laura” is unique on the world circuit as it comprises of two separate stadiums with their own start and finish zones and two separate sets of tracks for cross-country skiing and biathlon. There is also a shooting range and preparation areas for the athletes.
RusSki Gorki Jumping Centre
Located in Esto-Sadok village on the northern slope of the Aibga Ridge, the RusSki Gorki Jumping Centre will host ski jumping and Nordic combined at the 2014 Games. The facility is located at the junction of two ridges in order to make the facilities fit well with the surrounding landscape and also protect athletes from side winds.
Rosa Khutor Extreme Park
On the West of the Rosa Khutor plateau will be the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park, home to freestyle skiing and snowboarding. The park is located at the Aibga Ridge, approximately 81km outside of the city of Sochi.
Sanki Sliding Centre
The Sanki Sliding Centre in the mountain cluster is located in Rzhanaya Polyana, Russia, 60 km (37 mi) northeast of Sochi. Located in the Western Caucasus, this venue will host the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Rosa Khutor Alpine Centre
The Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort is located at the Aibga Ridge. The venue, which incorporates 20km of competition tracks over 1,820 ha, will host all alpine skiing disciplines: Downhill, Super Combined (downhill and slalom), Giant Slalom and the Super-G.
